I went to Oktoberfest for the first time Saturday night. I was hammered by 4pm. Shawn called me to meet him at a bar but the only response I managed to muster was, “Drunk” and then a dial tone for him. I think I came outta that place with about 10 new German best friends. We were watching these dancers, you know, the dudes that wear those baggy pants and jump up and down and kick into the air while yelling, “hey!” Yea, they were awesome… mainly because in the middle of one “hey!” a dude’s pants split open and the world, well the world that managed to be at Oktoberfest this weekend, saw his goods. He was a champ. He just kept going. Maybe he didn’t notice, but it didn’t matter. His legs kept on flailing about and we kept watching. Foreigners are funny when you’re drunk.
